Spunlaced nonwovens are high-pressure micro-jets that are sprayed onto one or more layers of fiber webs to entangle the fibers with each other so that the web is reinforced and has a certain strength. The resulting fabric is a spunlace nonwoven. The principle of the spunlaced reinforcement of the web is similar to that of the needling process. Instead of using a puncture needle, multi-stranded micro-water jets produced by high pressure are used to inject the web. After the water jet passes through the web, it is held back by the bounce of the net curtain, and then interpenetrates the web again. As a result, the fiber in the web undergoes displacement, interpenetration, entanglement, and cohesion under the action of high-speed water jets interleaving in different directions.
